Perhaps the right analogy is taking a spare wing....
I'm not suggesting that you replace your computer with a capillary! I see the capillary as an easy and reliable backup option.

I agree, but my point is that the info it provides is of little or no value to the dive I am on and of no value for planning a repetitive dive.
