Hi Guys,
I am looking at taking the GUE DIR:Fundamentals class in July 18-20, 2003 with Bob Sherwood of All About Scuba of Vestal, NY.

Taat2d hope you can join me and hope to see any others there from the message board as well.

I am in pretty good physical shape being 154# at 5 ft 8 in and going to restart my running program now that the weather is clearing.

My rig is almost DIR except for the OMS bungee wings ad OMS IQ Pak. Bob Sherwood has agreed to let me use a Halcyon rig for the course, FREE of charge, which I thought was cool. Bob was very respectful that I currently dive OMS and said nothing derogatory about my wing and harness choice - which frankly, surprised me. My guess is he's just letting the natural progression of the DIR:F course speak for itself when the time comes. Any advice SeaJay? You can bet now I am totally implementing my InnerLight Greens, resuming my running program (after 6 months of SNOW and bitter cold in the Northeast), eating right, etc in preparation for this course.:boom:

Chris,
Great - hope to see some guys from the board there. Trying to get Taat2d to go as well from NYC. Think it would be great.

Have also spoken to SeaJay from the board about what to expect. He says I'll "be blown away" by the course. Should be good.

I won't be able to make it to Dutch Springs to meet everyone, I hear Bob Sherwood (our instructor to be) will be at DS this coming weekend. Would have been nice to meet everyone...

It's a great class. I took it last summer and have decided to take it again this year. I'm taking it again because: (1) I want to go through it with my regular dive buddy this time; and (2) I know I'll still have plenty to learn/work-on the second time through...;-)

Looking forward to it!
