Saw a hammerhead shark in May at Wench Hole on Molasses Reef!
on your dive computer its like a surface interval or safety stop 15' -20'FSW its a large patch reef and has the full mix of marine life.
Most dive boats limit you to a 1 hr dive but its hard to go into deco on that dive or run out of air!

Yeah, this is really an easy dive. The reef is large, not just a small patch, if that's the concern. A really leisurely one hour. I believe the deepest I hit was about 35 ft., but as stated above it's really just one long safety stop. In fact, after spending a week last February in Cozumel drift diving at around 90 ft., my wife requested a trip to Key Largo to do some really easy reef diving. Not that she didn't enjoy Cozumel, it's just that reef diving in the Keys during the summer months is like diving in a heated swimming pool (with lot's of sea life). You don't have the same exhaustion level as a day of drift or deep wreck diving.

Molasses reef is a must do if you are in Key Largo it is such a great reef completely beautiful
