Saw the same thing as sharky60 a year ago in Key Largo. It was very flexible and long. The JFS creature looks different.

I think it may be a peanut worm? It was burrowed in the sand and about 8 inches was sticking out. Never seen one before and it wasn't in any of my books.Sipunculid or "Peanut" worm
Tigers Tail, ok. My former photography mentor on the island called it a Lion's Tongue. but she would also call a Yellow Stingray a 'skate' occasionally too..Definately not Lion's Tongue or Tigers Tail what is commonly called here.
