Hi all!

I wanted to share my weight loss goal. I'm taking my son to Key Largo in July to get OW cert. I'm doing Self-Reliant at the same time.

I was 297 lbs last fall. I made it down to 255 by spring break, but am back up to 273.

1st goal is to make 250 lbs by July 15, when I leave for Florida.
2nd goal is to return a week later with no weight gain.

My struggles are:
  • Time - tight schedule with work, family, commute, etc. Finding time for exercise, meal planning, and cooking can be frustrating.
  • Keeping it off. I need to make it a new lifestyle, not just a diet.
In my favor:
  • Diet and exercise work well for me, and I do loose weight.
  • Fitbit - constant monitoring keeps me on track.
  • I have an established time to play tennis about 5 hr/week.
  • There are two fitness facilities on my work site.
 
That sounds totally doable!

Three years ago I weighed 270 pounds. Now I weigh 160 (and still very slowly shrinking - I'd like to lose another 10 or 15 pounds).

It's all about consistency, slow progress, and not letting a small misstep turn into a failure. It's not about finding time, but making time, and making a lifelong investment in yourself. Arguably the most important one you can ever make.
