Does anyone else experience week-long (or more) delays hearing from Tawali? I sure do!

Way back in Oct / Nov / Dec they were telling me they didn't have 2016 prices. Then they had the prices but now they won't respond to make a reservation via email. And, the website simply responds "no availability" for every date or room type I try.

I am actually wondering whether it is worth it to keep waiting and waiting -- maybe they are just so f'ed-up I should go elsewhere. But the reviews of the diving sure are superb!

Yes. I book my PNG stuff through a specialist dive travel agent in Australia (Diversion Dive), and they always get responses back within 48 hours. I find that's usually the only way to get straight forward answers out of any of the resorts in PNG. I've tried booking stuff myself in the past, and have always run into that same lack of response. I've simply given up on trying to do it myself in PNG and get the travel agent to do it for me.

I also use Diversion and always get a swift response.

No issues here with Walindi and Febrina. Booked direct and even using points to get to POM from SYD.

For a matter of reference I was able to add a final connection on the way back to SYD for $110. Domestic Air Nuigini flights from POM-Kimbe-POM return were $550 each (CDN). When I added a leg to SYD on the way home it was only $110. Adding the flight in from SYD to POM adds $550. Maybe because its a fare originating in PNG?

I was unable to use points for the POM-SYD flight, I was getting terrible 2-3 connections through Cairns/BNE. Strangely you can't book the POM-SYD flight by itself, at least not at any of the sites I was using, even Air Nuigini. Start at Kimbe and it showed up..for cheap!

I get this isn't for everyone but I love researching flights and using miles.
