Goderich diver dies
A Goderich man has died while scuba diving near Tobermory on the holiday weekend.

The Bruce Peninsula OPP say they were called to the Fathom Five National Morning Park on Sunday morning.

Police said Peter Lane, 67, was one of eight divers on an expedition to a sunken ship near Echo Island.

Police said Lane showed signs of medical distress after the dive began and was helped by the other divers.

The Canadian Coast Guard responded and brought him to shore for further medical help.

Lane could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy found Lane died of natural causes. The Ministry of Labour was advised of the investigation.

Pete Lane was a great buddy and all around good guy.

From those on the scene, divers /rescuers were as prompt as possible in assisting Pete from the safety stop where he apparently experienced a medical emergency.

Miss you, buddy. Condolences to the Lane family and friends.

Oh, and it's The Fathom Five Marine Park, not Morning Park...
