Was there (Mabul) in June, but brought own equipment so not that familiar with their gear. Their fins weren't that great (floppy, not good for current) but their BCDs seemed to be the usual rental quality. Some friends rented their gear and had no complaints. Suspect if you have your own mask and fins, it shouldn't be much of an issue.

Accommodations were decent and comfortable, bar area quite nice too. Food was ok, but their kitchen staff were sometimes a bit slow to replenish, resulting in 15-20 minute waits on some meals. Not so great when you only have 1 hour surface time before next dive. Didn't happen too often though.

The dive staff were great though. While we were there, most of our dives were 1:2 DM/diver ratio. It was a mix between foreign instructors and local DMs leading the group so you had very different experiences. The local DMs of course knew where everything was and were the best spotters. Having instructors lead was a different experience, often picking up a lot of tips from them in the process. Instructors also tended to spend time with you doing logbooks and going over what you encountered in the dives. Overall, really enjoyed the diving with both types of dive leaders.

Should note that Scuba Junkies is more conservation and safety focused than most other shops, so some may find them a bit rigid and rules aplenty. Things like maximum dive time (relatively strictly enforced, even if you have plenty of air left and NDL).

All that said, really enjoyed my time there and will dive with them again in the future.
