I recently destroyed my SPG's cave diving through restrictions having them oriented down the tanks on the outside. So now I need new gauges and will be moving them across my chest instead. I ordered a replacement from divegearexpress and the gauge was TWICE as thick as my original. My original was a half inch thick and the new gauge was a full inch thick at the same diameter.

Now I'm looking at dimensions on all the sites and they all say 6 cm which is approximately 2 inches. How the hell do I know if I'll be getting 1/2 inch thick gauges? Where can I get some normal gauges?

Thanks guys

Well it looks like the SPG gauge is inside a larger metal casing if my eyes aren't lying. How and should I remove this?

With a hammer and screwdriver. Break the glass then remove the offending glass-holding-ring with a large screwdriver and hammer.
