I'm leaving for Coz this Thursday night to finish my OWC on a referral, then do my AOW with our own LDS instructors diving ther the rest of next week. I'm considering taking the eLearning AOW course and wondered if anyone knows how long it takes to go through vs the book/video. I have 3, 1/2 days to get it done before I leave. Recommendations?

Hi Skyflyer,

I'm doing the AOW eLearning right now myself - it takes about 4-6 hours to get through the PADI eLearning Program for the AOW (add roughly 3 hours, if you do the combo with Nitrox). And those are the hours if you do it super thoroughly, watch the videos at least once until the answers are bomb-tight.

I haven't done the book/video approach (unfortunately - I'd have loved to have the longer, class-room/book/videos instead of the eLearning), so I can't tell if that'd be quicker or not.

Either way, good luck!

Thanks for the info. I decided to do the book/video route. I'm just now finishing the video and will take the book with me to Cozumel. The eLearning course was a bit expensive too.
