Should I be using lube on o-rings?

If you want a bit of lube on a non moving o-ring like any hose coming out of a first stage just rub the thing on the side of your nose and slam
It together. They actually don't need any lube at all if you don't want. Just rub with fingers to make sure there is no grit.
