Boy, I thought I had a problem with having too many tanks but I've been outdone by all of you.:):):)
My line up:
1 Worthington LP77
4 Worthington LP85s
2 HP 80s (old Genesis tanks ~1985 vintage; still in use)
6 AL 80s (not using much anymore)
2 AL 40s
1 AL 13 (not using anymore).

I am really tempted to get some of the new Faber hot dipped galvanized HP100s. I really don't dive my ALs anymore. With little residual value, I'm going to just let them sit around and some might get occasional use by friends who rely on me for their tank needs.

1 LP72 (1960's vintage)
1 LP80 (Coyne)

I keep the LP72 in hydro but only dive the LP80.

Actually, it is not a real problem as tanks hold their value much better than most SCUBA gear you can collect. Since I buy mostly used, I can sell the majority of the tanks for more than I paid, not counting the use I had from them, of course I had to maintain them properly or all bets would be off.

Steels
10 x 15L 232 Bar (HP120?) for me
10 x 12L 232 Bar dumpies (HP100?) for my wife
2 x 12L (HP 100) 232 normal height

Ali
2 x AL 80
3 AL 50
2 AL 40
2 AL 30

All the AL cylinders are rigged for side sling ponies

Because Dubai is transitory - people often sell their cylinders before they leave, and I can't resist. Every month we go on a multi day boat trip where we use 6-9 cylinders each for back gas and then take a coupe of slung cylinders each one as a pony and one with a 50% so all our main cylinders get used all the time.

Have another friend leaving in Dec so will add another 4 steel cylinders to our collection and a couple of AL 40's only because they're available not that we need them

2 x 10.5 litre faber steels twin
2 x 12.2 litre faber steels twin
2 x 12.5 litre faber steels
2 x 7 litre faber steels
2 x 5.7 litre alum catalina
1 x 11 litre alum catalina
1 x 9 litre alum Luxfer
1 x 3 litre alum Luxfer

I think I am tank deficient

I simply have too many tanks and will be reducing that number over the next few months.

For my personal stash, I want to use the following

2 AL40s with O2 (Transfilling O2 cyl for rebreather)
1 AL40 with 32% (SW bail out)
2 LP 40s with 32% for light sidemounting and bailout.
2 LP 95s with 32% for sidemounting and single backmounting
1 3L with O2 for my SF2
1 3L with air for my SF2

Surplus:
I probably have another dozen AL80s for students. I think I want to get rid of at least half of them.
a set of double AL80s (Elena's)
a set of double LP85s (Elena's)
an AL30 w O2 which might be used for sidemounting the SF2.
2 HP120s
1 LP108.

3 X7-100s
1 E7-100
1 PST 100 (older 3500 psi tank)
1 AL-80

looking to get an AL-19 for a slung bailout at some point

I had one AL80 when I wrote the OP. I've sold it. Two of my kids dive with me now. Here's how I've ended up, cylinder wise:

4 HP120 (2 worthington, 2 PST)
An HP100 twinset (Faber)
1 LP85
19 LP72 (recently bought a lot of 13 and am in the process of selling the ones I don't want)
2 HP40
1 AL19
1 HP13
1 LP11
