To me it looks like a northern pike to me but I am not great with fish ID. (All I can tell from the PADI fish chart is that it's not a lionfish)

If you can do the Connie in the rain or at night you'll see a lot of large fish come out to play :)

Yea I think so too. Which ones have those super dark black eyes. This one had those black eyes that suck you in like a black hole. I think it was a pike. Maybe a hybrid? It had sorta red belly fins, and on the tail fins it has half spots and half stripes. I dunno anymore!
 
I was thinking Chain Pickerel.... but the markings on the tail and other fins lead it toward a Northern Pike...

I saw a large pike on the Connie last week probably the same one.
 
73F at Morrisburg (Lock 23) today, but it felt much warmer
 
Still 71f on Lock 23 after work yesterday. Current was really light, water seemed lower. Vis was fairly normal for the site.
