Hey guys I am looking to get neoprene in a roll, and have been having a hard time finding any on the net. The rubber suppliers seem vague on the properties of their materials. Specifically Im looking for stuff 3-5mm thick and closed cell. It doesn't need to have any lining as I plan on adding nylon myself.

For the record this is for a clothing project and won't get wet.

Does anyone know any good online suppliers?

Thanks

I found something similar at Home Depot Hardware Dept. soft drawer liners for tool chests that was about the right thickness. There was also a similar material in the flooring department in rolls that is soft foam rubbery material as a floor covering but was similar to neoprene. Worth a look as they are cheap and plentiful for (just guessing) costume?

Closed Cell Rubber - Neoprene

You might also try a custom wetsuit company. They might be willing to sale a length from their supply.

Are you (OP) looking for the kind of neoprene that wetsuits are made of, i.e., closed-cell foamed neoprene?

if you need a full 25/50 ft roll, you may be better off looking to buy factory direct.

This isn't foamed neoprene, if that's what the OP is looking for. These are solid neoprene rubber sheets.

Closed cell neoprene would be great to find, although I'm finding 3-5mm costing 10-12$ sqft

Really I want a closed cell foam made from a natural & Butyl rubber mix. This material needs to be resistant to ultra cold (-40). Any advice as to what of the more common neoprene would be best? I'm seeing epdm, sbr and another few acronyms being thrown around.

The link I provided gives a cost of 5mm in moderate quantities of little more than $1.00 sq ft but that is for Neoprene which you originally stated you wanted. EPDM, SBR and Butyl are different materials, what are you looking for?
