Is the SDI Nitrox Certification, (basic up to 40%) good world wide? Or are there locations it is not accepted. And I do realize the (I) in SDI stands for International, but someone told me that PADI is the only one recognized World Wide.

Thanks

SDI is recognized worldwide as is any major agency. Anyone who says otherwise is either a)uninformed, or b) lying.
Certainly recognised by virtually everyone in diving - PADI is probably more recognised by those outside the diving community.

Saying that I would say that anyone offering fills etc for nitrox would definitely accept them.
