Lol!! Yeah, it's a good time! Hey, your avatar seems deceptively cute and and cuddly. I bet it turns into a lion when (and if) you go after someone who uses one wing for everything!! Hahaha! :D
Sorry, though. I can't help you with what you are looking for. I only have one wing (that I use...
Hi Perrone...I understand. The other guy was pretty blunt though. :) I believe his buddy was slightly behind and above him and saw him disappear under the side of the hull. I think he realised what was going on and grabbed a piece of the wreck and waited a minute or so to see what was going to...
Hey Perrone. I certainly don't mind answering questions.
1. I agree that the extra lift may be overkill. But in some cases it can be useful. One diver I know was sucked under the hull of a shipwreck by strong current and pinned against the hull. The current was undermining the sand from under...
Tobin...like I said, I don't mean any disrespect. Even though I have never had any dealings with you I have read nothing but praise for you, your equipment, and your customer service! It's very clear to me that you have only your customers best interests at heart.
Like I said earler...there...
Sorry Gombessa...my question was actually directed to Tobin.
And to PeroneFord...Like I said in one of my last posts on this thread, I completely understand both sides of this debate. What may be the norm in some diving circles may not be the norm in other circles. I guess that is the point...
If he has a wing that works for him why is it a mistake or inappropriate? Because it's not what you are trying to sell?
(I don't mean any disrespect...I know you sell great equipment, and everyone here has great things to say about you and your customer service!)
Well, this has been a very entertaining debate! I honestly understand both sides of the arguement.
However...I am going to have to tell a couple friends of mine (one in particular who has been tech diving since before "tech diving" was a term) that he has been doing it all wrong (for the last...
You are.
Did you walk into a dive store with $20,000 in your pocket and buy everything at once? Some seriously think things through, considering what type of diving they want to EVENTUALLY end up getting into and then GRADUALLY acquire gear a couple pieces at a time.
So back to my...
Why is this thread turning so hostile?? The simple question asked was "can it be done?" The answer should be as simple as, "yes, provided the lift is adequate."
Some people can afford to spend $20,000 on gear, but the fact is that many people can not afford to spend that much. So why do...
Regardless of the gear the diver in the story uses he is clearly clueless on a couple of issues. His attitude for one thing. With only forty dives this guy thinks he doesn't need further training?? And, secondly, his lack of basic skills like proper buoyancy control! Crashing around the bottom...
Yes, that will work fine. I use an OMS wing with 95lbs of lift, with the bungees and it works great. I have three friends who use the same wing with doubles, and two other friends who use the same with single steel 120s. It's completely versatile.
I don't know much about the O'neil wetsuits, but the price seems a little high. The dive shop that I go to has 7mm Henderson wetsuits for about $390. Are there many other dive shops near you? What about looking online? I would look around a little. If you can't find it anywhere else and you...
