Welcome to the club. I'm still a fairly new diver, always learning and haven't had a lot of time to dive lately, or our weather ruined it. Some of my first "trips" diving were in Hawaii and Alaska, although they weren't specific dive trips. I won't stray too far out of my lane in that area...

Has anyone seen these issues with the Frameless masks? I've used the Frameless on 3 dives now and haven't had an issue, but a buddy of mine that works at a dove shop said they had Atomically coming back because of this issue, but he didn't mention which mask if was.

I realize I'm a little late and you may have made a decision, but I personally wouldn't worry about padding as an issue. I was worried about that at first when I switched over a few years ago from a SeaQuest Balance to a Halcyon BP/W, but I've never had an issue diving without a shirt or a rash...

Do you have the DAK trigger? I'm issued a 226 with the DAK trigger, I hated it. I dumped that thing as soon as I could.

I started off with a back inflate BC and switched to a BP/W. The BP/W is much more versatile like someone already said and to me is more comfortable. It's much less bulky.
