Hey all, I will be in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea next month and would like to do a dive or two. My son will be joining me so he needs a refresher course and we both will need to rent equipment. Where we are staying there is a reef and some other stuff to dive so we are interested in going self...

We were there from Aug 30th to Sept 5th (luckily only on the 4th did we get bad weather from Hanna. We were able to escape before Ike hit Unfortunately Ike knocked out our power for 10 days in Kentucky!!) We went with Stuart Coves and had a great time. It wasn't too crowded, the shuttle...

We, were there both days, I didn't have much time to look around for any of you guys as I had to be my wifes buddy. Vis was pretty low but temp was nice. Here is a pic of us before her Compass run. and here is the remainder of our group (and me) who were finally certified this weekend...

Thanks all for the welcomes. I just checked out KPP, pretty cool. I'm hoping that I get to meet some of you in the near future.

My wife is doing her OW cert that weekend and I will be joining her to get some more underwater time. We will be with Paradise Dive. I will have plenty of free time on saturday as she will be testing. Would be cool to meet some local divers. If anyone is going that weekend, let me know.
