    Insel Air baggage questions

You are allowed the extra weight for scuba gear at least between the islands. There is no storage area for carry-ons. They take it from you at the plane and put it with the checked luggage. Your checked luggage may not land with you. Ours came several flights later and some not until much...

    Aruba to Bonaire Airlines??

I just returned from Bonaire and Curacao and used Insel to fly between the two islands. I honestly would not recommend that airline to anyone. After waiting for over an hour after the posted time for the gate agent to show, we were put on a plane that probably should not have been in the air...

    Sabor at the Reef

We are scheduled at Sabor Mar. 31-Apr.7. We have also seen the reports from Tripadvisor, and are a little concerned, but it's too late to turn back now. Guess we can tell you what it is like when we get home.

Belize: Turneffe area or Glovers Reef area

My wife and I went to Turniff last April. It was great. The diving was very good. Everyone at the resort was really friendly. It is a small resort and after only a couple of days everyone seemed like old friends. It was kind of nice having a mixture of fisherman and divers because everyone...

    chum when reduce depth

I haven't thought about that but it makes sense. I sometimes get some mild acid reflux and take antacid medicines. I usually take some when I have had a problem diving. Do you have any idea why the seasickness pills seem to work better than the antacid medicine?

    backscatter

The angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incident. In plain English that means that if the strobe is at 12 degrees from the object that reflects light and the lens is at 12 degress from the same object, the light will be reflected into the lens and you have backscatter. An off the camera...

They recently made a change in the housing and for $35 you could get a new housing with the improvements. I drowned my strobe a couple of times. They gave me a new model strobe the 1st time and...

    chum when reduce depth

I get sick when diving. I've seen other threads related to this. It just started a couple of years ago. I get sick when I go up in depth from 35 - 50 feet. If I'm on a wall and go up to the top of the reef I'll get the dry heaves or chum for fish. I'll do it again when I go up to my safety stop...
