I've had a couple of zero current dives on the SG, but the Duane has been ripping every time for me. I would love to dive it in zero current. Both are great. Try for both.

You can always limit your dive buddies by age to reduce the chance of having one croak. I am not so sure you will get a lot of support from dive operators. The older divers with time and money make up a good bit of their income stream. As an old guy, I resent bowlofpetunias attitude. Wonder...

They probably want to close zoos and aquariums too. Educating the public about animals they would never see otherwise is a worthwhile endevour that in the long run aids conservation efforts.

You didn't give us an idea of your size, but before you give up check out Pinnacles King 1 and King 2 sizes. They are essentially 3XL and 4XL for people who are not much over 6 ft tall. Pinnacle makes high quality suits. Many hyperstreatch suits can accomodate a beer belly.
