I was so excited to move back to the east coast after 5 years of quarry diving in Illinois. Even though it's shallow and sandy, I'd still love to check out the shore diving.
Hi bt7csr, I'm a recent transplant to the region and am looking to explore the local dive scene. I'm away this weekend but would be very interested in some shore dive exploring.
5 of us brave souls met up for a late morning dive at Old Garden Beach today. I wasn't prepared for the rocky entry which shows how long ago it was that I last dived there! We surface swam out a ways (low tide) and followed a 60 degree compass heading until we couldn't feel our fingers anymore...
I haven't killed Lewis yet, either, but coincidentally every time we dive together he neglects to zip his drysuit all the way..... but I hear that he has that problem diving with other people too. Wednesday late morning works for me! We'd just need to find a low-tide-friendly site. I've never...
Discover Diving in NH usually does winter Ice Diving courses. I did mine through them on Lake Winnipesaukee. Obviously depends on ice conditions and this has been a pretty mild winter so far.
Orion612004 and I hit Folly Cove at high tide on Saturday. We were in the water around 3pm and dove the left side wall. Visibility sucked! It was about 8-10 feet up until we reached the point. We usually head past the point and poke around the boulders but visibility dropped to less than a foot...
I've also been browsing the used drysuit market for about a year now and also just purchased a USIA Techniflex from Dive Right in Scuba! I've been diving a back-zip, high density neoprene suit for the past 5 years (which I bought used - also for a great price!) and trying on the Techniflex was...
Thank you for your concern, obviously I know that this is a doubles wing. It was intentionally purchased with full intent to transition to a doubles set up. Due to financial constraints I cannot make the move to doubles at this time (I am a graduate student). In the meantime I'm looking for a...
I have a ScubaPro Xtek doubles wing (60# lift) that is brand new, never used (inflate hose still wrapped in plastic), that I am looking to sell. Asking for it's market value ~$400 but negotiable. I got it but then realized that it is wayyyy too big for me and I financially am not ready to make...
I have a ScubaPro Xtek donut wing for a double tank set-up with 60lb of lift that I am looking to sell. Asking $425 including shipping or best offer. This wing is new, never used, no dives on it, inflate valve still wrapped in plastic, never even got attached to my back plate.
I got it for...
I have a new 60lb lift ScubaPro X-tek donut wing. This wing is WAYYY too large for me. I dive single tanks and this wing would be better for someone diving doubles. The wing is new, never been used. I got it and then realized that it is far too large. I'm looking to trade for a new 40lb wing...
My suit is 6mm high density neoprene so it doesn't have the greatest mobility to begin with and is a snug fit, the bulky undergarment under the suit further reduces mobility. I've found that a fleece undergarment is all I need under my suit.
