I carry a Nautilus Lifeline, shears, 150' spool, Lift bag, extra mask, backup tables. The contents of my pockets don't usually change, wether I'm in 200' or 20'.
I am also looking into a trip to grand cayman either christmas or new years week. I have never been, however from what I have found online it looks terrific. How does the diving compare to other Caribbean destinations? The readily available tec charters are very appealing to me. I also would...
You could go out on a saturday AM and 1 or 2 charter boats would be there. I know the moorings have been snapping lately but there it typically 2 moorings on the wreck one at each end.
Hi folks,
I have a family members wedding in Jackson, Michigan on may 28 and I'd love to get a few wreck dives in if I can. The wedding isnt until 3:30 so I have all morning, or the day before. I'd like to find a tec friendly shop or charter to use and a good wreck to see. Does anyone have any...
Has anyone attempted to mount a GoPro camera on their goodman handle? If you have, was it successful? I'd like to give it a shot, the idea being anything that I point my light at will be recorded. What are your thoughts?
Im posting this question in the Tec forum because I'd like to keep the...
Heavy Equipment Operator, that's right I move dirt! I started diving at 12 so the two have no connection. Working in construction is usually nice because I'm out of work by 3:30 and there is plenty of time to dive.
NH / Maine coast. I think Cape Ann Divers does a couple of seal dive charters each year and I'm sure the other boats out of cape ann do as well. East Coast Divers in Boston have set up several dates for seal dives if your interested.
I believe the OOG diver is suposed to stay calm and "ask" for the bungeed long hose. Although I'd wager the short hosed reg. gets ripped out of the donors mouth instead... Personally I dont get it...
I used to dive with a guy who had gone through a cave course and came back with his 7' bungeed to the side of his tank. It was absolutely miserable to stow after we ran drills. Of course it was miserable for me, he just hovered while I had to stuff it back where it "belonged"
I like having a 7 foot hose on my single setup not only for ease of air sharing but also consistency in my gear configurations (between single and doubles.) The only "problem" I've ever had would be uninformed divers questioning my setup on charters. But in the end they see the light!
I love the idea of an online log, especially if you are in a jam and a charter company wants to see a log. I'd like to see an option to print reports and logs. Also support for mobile devices would be great.
