Today we saw traffic delays on Rt. 1 from 68 to Lobos around 9:00. Took about 30 minutes. Leaving at 5:00 was much worse. Took more than 30 minutes to get to Aquarius on Del Monte (from Lobos), then 2 hours more to get to San Jose, but some of that might just be leaving at 5:00.

17 Aug 2012, Whalers Cover, Pt. Lobos: <25' viz, 49°F at 65 fsw around noon at the northern end of Middle Reef. (We saw a giant wolf eel!) Around 3:00 PM we dove the Cannery Reef looking for Hole in the Wall, but we couldn't find it. Sky was overcast; viz was about 15'.

On Friday I plan to dive Lobos with two other divers. If I recall correctly, Lobos rules require 2-man dive teams but that often the gate guard permits a three man team when there is space (and we all enter the park together). At least, I didn't have any trouble when I did this a few years ago...
