I called Sealife this morning. My only option is to buy the Dc1400 then send in my dc1000 and get $100 rebate in about 8 weeks. Not really what I wanted to hear as I love the Dc1000. Who has the dc1400 and how is it? I'm just afraid of flooding yet another one.

I take very good care of my equipment. The first time was my fault as I did not know there was a certain way of closing the housing. The video light apparently had a small hair that got into the cap which I did not see. I checked it several times before using it and the sealife repair guy...

The last time I called Sealife for my flooded brand new video light, the lady that I spoke with kinda blew me off. Since I had sent in two prior cameras, she didn't want to help me and wanted me to pay for a brand new one. She wasn't going to replace it. So I don't think Sealife will help me...

I wish sealife would just make the internal camera watertight.. It's a simple fix but they just won't do it. I guess they make more money that way so you buy their newer products.

Dmurrell61, the Dc1200 isn't as good a camera as the dc1000, it takes longer to focus so you really have to set up the shot before snapping it. Make sure you have a flash strobe, that makes all the difference and get your shots within 3 feet of the subject. Try to get the entire subject in...
