I just talked to my LDS here in Seattle and they called the Mares distributor. On the return call they said that the US is still waiting their shipment and we are "very close" possibly by the end of the month (July) but we all know the track record up to this point.
It looks like maybe by the...
I have a bit of a broad question that I could use everyones help with.
I have my choice between 4 locations to travel to between mid March and Mid April which are Bahamas, Barbados, Jamaica or St Maarten.
Any suggestion and help deciding will be greatly appreciated also if you have a...
damage thanks for the information - thats great to hear!! I am looking forward to warmer water as well as getting a chance to explore new places. I dove Islas Marietas last time so looking forward see some of the different site
Hi has anyone heard of a problem with the inflater hose sometimes coming loose during a boat entry on the Oceanic Probe LX BC?
During a boat dive a few weeks back someone on the boat mentioned he knew of this problem and warned me to be careful.
This is GREAt...looks like I had better suit up and head out to see if I can find something..yet another good reason to go diving, as if I need a reason :D
Yes 30' Viz is great we were looking at about 4' last weekend. We have a lot of algae bloom right now so I will welcome 30' as well as temps above 48 degrees
I have another question. since my wife doesn't dive and I really don't want to leave her alone for three days of diving how is the snorkeling? Also do most of the services offer both?
Zak, just wondering when you might be able to share (the approximate date or month)the "nice news that will apply to this computer as well as our other computers. I am not at liberty to announce today".
You mentioned at DEMA but will we see it here also during the November show?
The wrist thing is great and it solves the gap problem nicely however it would have been really nice if the owners manual would have mentioned what it was instead of me having the same problem of loose fit and deciding to experiment it to see if it would help fill the gap.
Zak, As always you were right on I dropped by my LDS this past weekend and showed them my computer and hose and they said oh yea that is one of the recalled ones..well call you when we have it fixed.
Thanks for the great information
I have nicked two of the hose o rings in the past several months resulting in leakage about midway into my dive. After the first one I thought I was not being careful enough attaching the computer to the hose so since that time I always take my time and try to slid it on as straight as possible...
Thanks everyone I really appreciate all of the great feed back it is really helpful and I am more than ready to dive in water clearer and warmer than Puget Sound.
Zak,
Thank you for the update and additional information. At first look $450 seems a bit high but with a little research it appears that the average price for a transmitter (I took the prices from 4 different brands/types of transmitters for my pricing) is around $ 466 so it appears that...
That is the normal way to pick up your Nitrox tanks here in Puget Sound. Check mix, mod, tank serial number and then you have to sign off to leave the LDS with your tank.
I know it's a pain but I think it is a great policy as well as something I want to do on my own (not that I don't trust...
I will be heading down to Puerto Vallarta at the end of November and was wondering what the diving is going to be like??
Which thickness of wet suit should I bring?
Also open for any suggestions of who I might book with for some great dive trips while I'm there.
Zak, can you tell me which date for the AI upgrade is correct if you go to one page on the Mares web site Mares - just add water it is still showing "Autumn 2010" and if you go to this page Mares - just add water it shows "Spring 2011" which is correct or is the factory just as confused as all...
I am posting this for one of my dive buddies that lost her fins Saturday at the Edmonds Underwater Park (Brackett's Landing) on the north side of the jetty. Please see her description below:
I left my scuba pro- sub gear white fins at the North end of the EUP yesterday (7/31) during my...
