I own a couple of Atomic regs. All I can say --- silky smooth breathing, all of their reg line. Pricey, but worth it.

Does anybody know what type of adhesive is being used for patching up holes on the inner bladder of a wing type bc? I guess Aquaseal is used for the outer bag, but for the inner plastic bag I guess its different. Any ideas?

the older models of g250's are easier to open, unlike the newer ones and the HP's which have a lock pins installed in them....but you can remove the locking pin so that you can still remove the cover underwater the apeks tx series are easier to open than the atx's. the covers are thicker on...

Well, you really have to try one to know the difference! :) Anyway, what works for you is the best...no matter what make. The above mentioned regs are high performers....just comes down to one's preference.

my 2 cents: Everytime you service your reg you always clean it from contaminants and old lube. Old lube can contain contaminants and thus not wise for reuse. That lube keeps the water out the innards of the reg. But, in time collect dirt, sand and other nasty stuff which gets mixed with the lube.

:banging: Anybody knows where I can buy spare parts for the Atomic regs? The Atomic dealer in my country sucks bigtime! All I get form them is "No, we dont have them on stock" and "We dont know when we will have it on stock"

Just a thought. I just want the sealing to keep away contaminants and silth when I do wreck dives. If its still the same packing material then its kinda messy alright. And the O2 lube is kinda pricey, too. I thought Atomic have a better way of environmental sealing. Oh well, going back to my...

Anybody out here have the Atomic M1? Am particularly interested on its environmental sealing. Is the sealing still the old packing lube? Or is it something new since Atomic claims it can be used up to 80% O2? I have a B1 and was wondering if its possible to upgrade it to the the M1 environmental...

True...it's more on a liability issue. Assuming that all o-rings, grease, and other parts of the reg are o2-compatible, there is no need for o2 cleaning. However, some divers would still have the parts replaced w/ o2-compatible parts just to be safe and have peace of mind. Some divers...
