Personally i'd love to. I'll be there with my son who is classroom and pool trained (check out dives at Buddy's) and my wife who's a wuss. (Sorry dear) so I don't think that's going to happen.

We're looking at bringing a soft cooler with vacuum sealed ribeyes, chicken breast, lunch meat, and cheeses. Bacon and sausage for breakfasts. As a carry on bag it won't cost us anything more, and should save a few bucks at Van Den Tweel

Also we prefer the taste of U.S. beef to the stuff served/bought there. Most meats really.

We are debating bringing food with us to cut cost. We do, however, plan on dining out some nights. Just not all. We leave this frozen hell hole 2 weeks from tomorrow and I'm trying to plan out purchases and luggage situation.

Does Buddy Dive have any grills on the property? Trying to plan our food for the week and wanted to grill steaks for dinner.

My son will be doing his open water check out dives there. (As long as he passes this weekend)

We may just do that. It'll be our second time there. Our son, wife's sister and brother in law will be joining us for their first visit.

Coming back to Bonaire after a looooong hiatus. 2011. Our son did his discover scuba class today, has his open water class next weekend. Anyone else going to be around then?

You should send that video to the Bonaire Tourism people. I think it would "sell" any divers on-the-fence in choosing Bonaire or another destination. Great Video!
