    Galileo sol rbt issue, help!

You need to spend some time reading the book and setting things for the dives you want. Firstly you need to tell the computer what quantity of air you would like when the dive is over and you are on the boat. Your safety margins. For me and the wife, when we dive to 30m on 300bar 7s we need 80...

Using Multiple Transmitters - Uwatec Gallieo

Myself and the wife have transmitters and they are great. The Galileo ones are probably the best in the business. Mine has only ever dropped out once and that was due to a low battery after 3yrs. I have never been out of range of the wife either.

My DIY / Homemade Sidemount Rigs (minimalist & heavy-lift)

I am diving the Diamond and I was thinking that as there is a spare port for inflator, maybe a second bladder could be fitted IF I ever use a wetsuit.

    scubapro 600s/mk25 cold water performance

I have seven sets of Mk25's with various seconds. GV250s, S555s, R395s and A700s. In the winter we regulary do ice dives and have never had a free flow. Just remember NOT to breath the reg while it is out of the water.

Bye Suunto, been nice knowing you...

I have owned a couple of Suuntos. Both thought that the kitchen sink was 30+ meters deep. Suunto support was really quick and painfull. "Yeah, common problem and nothing that we can do but we will give you a 10% discount on a new one" I own a Galileo now.

Help on computer Galileo Luna vs. Mares Icon HD

I had a demo Mares and LUNA. Based on the battery life alone I would buy the LUNA. I have no problems with the display at night.

How accurate are Suunto wireless-air transmitters?

I had a Vyper air a few years back and had a few problems with it. It would sometimes lose connection and required you to resurface to get the connections back. It evenyually died due to the normal Suunto problem of the faulty depth sensor. The new Suuntos are much more reliable and IF they lose...

    Apeks XTX50 vs Others

The DS4 is all the reg you will ever need. Well built, reliable and a great price. 2x DS4 and ATX is the choice of the UK tech divers and for good reason. I personally dive Mk25's but would happily swap to DS4s when the time comes.

    How reliable are hoseless transmitters?

i had a Suunto and was ok untill you shut a valve, and then you had to surface to reconnect. The Galileo is fantastic. Never had a problem. I put a new battery in it a year ago but that was just as a precaution. The computer itself has never had a battery replaced in 3 yrs and thats with the...

    Mk25

Actually, it comes from ScubaPro themselves. When you buy a high performance 2nd stage, in the book that comes with it is a paragraph that says "not to be fitted to the end port of the Mk25 1st stage" I noticed it when I bought my last A700 and commented on it to the shop and they basically...

Anyone know what Galileo Sol "Service Mode Error 32" is?

Three years and over 200 dives with mine. Guess you just got a bad one to have just one fault which could be rectified. They are a reliabe computer. To say you should not buy one because it will need to be repaired for one problem is a little silly in my mind. ANY computer can fail like that...

Opinion? Suunto D6i or Galileo Sol?

I love my LUNA and have never had a loss of signal. I have spoken to people with the small Suuntos. They find them great in nice blue water but not so great in green or dark waters.

Not console mounted but the Galileo's are great with a fantastic compass built in.

    Air integrated computers w/ transmitters

Most of the problems about lost connections came from the early Suuntos. They were not permantaly paired. If the signal dropped for a second, you would have to reconnect which meant being on the surface. Then newer Suuntos have a constant pairing which means even if the signal drops for a...

    SP pricing

And untill they see the drop in income, nothing will be done. And this is another distinction between some companies. I can call APEKs direct for advice but SP you have to go through a dealer. Which is fine aslong as you have a good dealer.
