I'm glad you asked this question as we've just bought our first tanks. They were filled six weeks ago and we have not had an opportunity to dive with them yet. I would not have thought we couldn't store them full for an extended period. We also have a pony sitting full since last year.

Bad Pug..you sneaky thing you! :) Seriously,,I have been told to hold my feet up by a dive op to put my fins on before giant stride only to have both fins go diving without me...this is the ultimate in dive resort "stupidity"...I really don't mind and would prefer doing my "own thing".

My experience..all SP..just what the shop sold. So...had to learn to dive with the AIR 2 thingy. Even as a newbie student I could tell...no way@! Only female BC was, of course, SP Ladyhawk. Nice, but....funny how SP makes the distinction between the men's Knighthawk and the Ladyhawk...guess...

Strongly agree with Andy. Learn the tables and dive them. That is your basic core. Computers fail, tables don't. The computer is a cool toy and when it works it's great. Many dive operators will insist that you dive a computer on their boats. If you don't have one, you will have to rent one...

With 20 dives, I'm still a newbie and my comfort range does not extend past 50-60ft. My deepest dive was 73' for a brief time with a DM in the water with us while on vacation. I felt comfortable in that situation. With each dive, my comfort, skill level, and trust in my equipment increases...

I have a weight integrated BC, but often dive using the weight belt instead of the pouches on the BC. Instead of one weight belt, you will have 2 pouches to keep track of and hand up to a rocking boat. On my model, the Sherwood Genesis, the weights are very hard to load when the BC is set up...
