Hi Dan,
Yeah - pretty expensive round here but there are more reasonable ways of doing it!
And yes that was a quake today - man they are getting bigger and more frequent, scary stuff!
best time of the year to dive Japan is from about September to March - too cold for most Japanese so not very crowded. Water temp will be at it's warmest in September which is not always good for the viz. but means you don't have to bring the thick suits with you.
You never know I might even...
Advice please - other than go on a live aboard! Not an option unless we take the mother-in-law so I'm looking for suggestions for interesting diving trips for the day from Cairns.
I will be in Cairns the last two weeks in September and hope to get some diving in!
Cheers
Jonathan
I normally get mine through my instructor or friendly dive shop owner :eyebrow:
I am sure you know that the gas laws here are very different from elsewhere - not to mention the price...
Nori,
I really could not recommend it! Except as a stopping off point for Bikini that is.
When I was there a few years back the coral was all pretty much dead and not much fish life. Did have a fun encounter with an Silver tip though!
Also there is absolutely nothing to do on you SI...
I'm off to buy one of those rebels tomorrow (they call them Kiss out here ?!?!?) and now I am going to have to buy a housing for it as well damn you! Looks like I'll never buy that house....
Great photos
second time round - not sure went wrong last night!
Actually very little "archive" stuff but also very little diving as it is in 1,200 feet of water...
That thing was huuuuuuuge!
Very interesting program covering quite a lot of stuff. Seemed to concentrate on how basically the BS was...
You think so?! I had to stumble through the manual in Japanese (pictures are great) to work it out!!
Also our TV is in pieces at the moment due to new furniture - hopefully get it sorted out before the program...
