I cannot seem to adjust the cracking pressure of the Se7en mouthpiece. By the time I get the cracking pressure down to 50 cm, it free flows like crazy in OC. the IP is spot on at 123 psi. Also, the hinge pins on the Apache by Harbor Freight cases WILL rust away, unlike the Pelican hinge pins. I keep a piece of brass around just to repair those hinges.

Well, I sliced them off with an Xacto knife. I'll be diving the Tuesday, so I'll be able to see if that fixes the wet breathing issue.

I think I'll check it against another body and see if that isn't the cause of the wet breathing. I'll also check the diaphragm seating.

I hope it's visible enough.

I just noticed something that seems odd. On some Jetstream bodies, where the mouthpiece is placed, there are two tabs molded in on either side. Some bodies have them, some don't. Is there anything special about these bodies, either positive or negative? I am wondering if this is why one of my...

I've polished the valve piston. In an effort to be thorough, I dismantled the regulator, and found that the teflon washer had disintegrated into 4 pieces. I don't know if that could have been the problem, but I'm going to give everything a good cleaning and reassemble.

Well, I replaced the seat and its O-ring. That reduced the large ip increase. It now is just a slow leak. I've got a new piston coming, and I'll start checking the lands as suggested by rsingler above.

Not just a leak, but a full-blown out of control IP. Turn the tank on, the ip rockets to 200+ psi and hits the stop on my gauge. Cleaned and rebuilt twice, and I have no idea what the problem could be. I have the manual, the assembly tools, and have rebuilt 3960s before. Apparently, what I lack...
