I've taken a few months off from posting (New Baby) but haven't taken any time off diving. Here are some highlights of the last few months:
Great Hammerhead
Great Hammerhead
Angelfish
Loggerhead
Loggerhead Cleaning Station
Loggerhead
Caribbean Reef
Bulls on Parade!
Thanks Mermaid...vis definitely dropped with the current but I'd rather be underwater than above. Except perhaps this weekend with the TS...10'+ seas doesn't sound like fun
A few shots from the weekend in Jupiter. The sunbursts were a matter of lack of options. Visibility was low on Sunday morning, but so was the sun so there were some nice chances to catch the sunburst. The other shots are just a mix of stuff from Sat/Sun.
A first time for me...
Thanks all!
@LWang: Have a few of those 'GoPros on a Stick'. Unfortunately the GoPro was mounted on my housing this particular day,
@DSR-3: Palm Beach is a great place to dive, especially for Turtles and Goliaths.
Thanks Muzik. Yep, that rattle has quite a bit of mileage on it, though not for a Great White in FL yet. We've had them here but none I have been fortunate enough to see.
Cool 2 days of diving in Jupiter.
Had to do a self portrait Facebook style with this Goliath Grouper (the Goliath made the Fish Lips). He/She would actually violently push away any other Goliath that came near me, haven't seen that before.
These Amberjacks would nip at me...
Finally got to dive the Cessna 210 plane wreck in West Palm. It's still fairly intact considering it went down in 1983.
Went out in nasty weather Saturday Morning as indicated by the first shot. Vis was down and with the dark sky it was essentially 2 night dives:
Done, sent you a PM with pics and link to download the bigger files.

Thanks! Definitely great site to dive.
I don't think you'd have any reason for a custom WB while lighting up subjects like Goliaths with video lights. Here's the problem I see...to set the custom WB, you need a still photo example of what is "white" at depth...so you would need to expose your "white" object with your video lights...
I agree, i wouldn't change anything. IMO the only way to film at night is with video lights...manual WB would not be of any use in the Mizpah or wreck trek (not sure where you guys are headed)
Though i also agree you will benefit from color temp adjustment in post.
To David: yep, i usually do...
Dropped 4 with Scuba Works/Blue Tang, conditions are still fantastic...80' of vis average, 82 degree temp, minimal north current. Nurse/reef sharks in multiples on Loggerhead and Scarface Reef, and Goliaths remain stacked up on the wrecks. We hit the MG 111 in the AM and PM...bait action is...
Dan, check out my most recent goliath video over in the videography section. That is all custom WB and you know the sites...all greater than 65. Sun was strong overhead which is the only reason I switched from my usual stills over to video. Post was adding a little contrast and a slight curve...
Thanks TSandM, yeah, I wanted a quick clip for perspective for exactly that reason but kept the rest of it mostly about the Goliaths. Funny how the "Volkswagon" title sticks nationwide.
