Newest Sherwood Reg to be Unveiled at DEMA

The reg is not an Atomic because it has a dry sealed first stage. That means that there is no grease or cristo lube to transmit the hydrostatic pressure (and increase the IP). That leaves the top of the reg (opposite the ports) to house the load transmitter. I will likely have some kind of...

    Convert an Apeks TX40 2nd into TX50 2nd

Any authorized dealer can get the part you are looking for. Just tell them what you want. It is not one of those parts that needs to be supplimented with a part number. Just tell them that you need and ATX50 adjustment knob and then can order it for you. It is something that is regularly stocked...

Oceanic ZETA @$250.00 new in store

I agree, definetely trust the guy who has less than 50 dives and tried every reg known to man..... underachiever- Although this is positive feedback, take regulator opinions carefully. I still recommend the zeta reg as it breathes nicely, however in comparison to the Omega, I found that it...

Oxygen Transfill whip - digital or analog?

I suppose that developing a complacency in this game is less than ideal. I can totally understand where you are coming from, however with a 2.5" gauge, if you can see it moving ever so slightly, I would think that you are in about the right range. I think that at this stage it becomes an...

Oceanic ZETA @$250.00 new in store

The Zeta is a servo assisted valve mechanism that will breathe different than any of the Scubapro or Aqualung regs (demand). Essentially it is an Omega Regulator folded back on itself into a smaller package. Although I have only used one once, it had some sort of hesitation before it provided...

Oxygen Transfill whip - digital or analog?

I think that while the 1 psi per second is a good guideline, it is important to keep in mind that this will represent different gas volumes for different size cylinders. Thus, I think that if you hear the gas moving it might be a little to fast. I think that an analog guage will suffice seeing...

Oceanic Delta 4 vs. Apex XTX200

As for value, I cannot talk to that except for here where I am the Delta is always at the same price as the Apeks. In regards to my comments, of course they wouldn't make sense from an engineering basis, they are from field use. My whole point was that the seal does not tend to hold up as...

Oceanic Delta 4 vs. Apex XTX200

As much as the Oceanic fellas here are telling the truth that the Delta is a nice regulator, you will find overwhleming support for the Apeks. I have found that the environmental seal on the oceanic is not as sturdy on the Oceanic and the mechanically balanced second stage to be not as great as...

    Low Profile Reg's

Xtream - If money were no object and you have local support it is a great reg. I have used it in the coldest of cold (ice) and it worked flawlessly. Super rugged and reliable. The Stainless Steel ball for a seat is a great idea. Dynamo - Again great reg pending parts support. It is not always...

    breathing upside down

Easy had it right, in that the air inside the second stage housing wants to go up (like all other air under water) and you are trying to bring it down to push on the lever to activate/maintain flow. Some regulator with a higher venturi effect, will negate some of this effect however it is always...

    OMS HP Tanks

    1st Stage

I would also recommend doing a search with either piston or diaphragm. This has been discussed and re-discussed many a times.

    Recall: Oceanic CDX

I just retrofitted one a couple weeks ago. Aside from maintaining warranty, and you should service your regs more often blah blah blah... But the recall was somewhat minor and a matter of switching metal and plastic parts for one another.

    New Apeks question

Find a new LDS. This is the type of LDS that gives them all a bad name. Not really interested in your best interest. As mentioned it is real simple and takes 10 seconds.

    Zeagle RaZor 1st Stage

The attachment of the regulator to the tank will not greatly affect the performance. the reg will likely perform similar to other flow-by piston regs (Oceanic SP5, Scubapro Mk2). Workhorse design, easy to service, lower end performer. The balanced second stage may add to a better WOB though.

    New Old Reg

These regs are very popular and work fairly decent, however i think that most folks don't use them too much because the parts are reall expensive. Good regulator though. Very tough and durable. The new version is the Titan first stage. A little different on the outside but identical on the...

My Scubapro MK20 and Cracks ???

If the place that you are taking the MK20 is a Scubapro facility, you shouldn't have to worry about telling them anything. They should be well versed in the problem and know exactly what to do about it. If not, you may want to take it somewhere where they do.
