I am looking into buying a dry suit and getting the cert now that I am stationed in South Dakota. I would like to hear some suggestions of some that won't break my wallet but will be a good lasting suit.

Well here it is dead in the middle of the winter and I just got back from diving. The water temp was 62 and with my 5mm wetsuit it was perfect... It only gets warmer from here. By may the temp is a lot better and the sea is much calmer.... My instructor is about to finish his dive shop and then...
The Azores has great diving.. I decided to take the class and have one more dive to complete my OW training. there are tons of places to dive here on Terceira Island... The Azores is a group of islands off the coast of Portugal about 900 miles west and 220 miles east of the US. there are I...
I use Lyra shorts and short sleeve top from Evo. I like it because it drys really fast and I can slip my wetsuit on and off very easy, even when wet. Wouldn't be caught dead in a speedo, and I have heard that board shorts do ride up.... The ladies I dive with wear a one piece bathing suit...
I am in the Air Force and might be going to Guam for my next assignment. I have been getting into Scuba here in the Azores and was about to start my first OW training. I might just wait till I get to guam.... They do have Padi there right???? If so does anyone know how much the OW Class is?

I have talked to a lot of divers regarding this when I was researching on buying my first set of fins. Most of the people I talked to all agreed and said that you shouldn't have more than 3 inches of your foot out of the pocket, especially for the Mare Volo fins, which I opted to buy and I love...
I read recently that the Eagle Pro has above normal bubble interference. I wanted to know if anyone that has or had this reg still thought it was a good buy. Is the bubble interference too much??? I have been searching for a while to buy my first reg and found the dacor.... I want my first dive...
I have a question about the titanium. I know it is good to protect from the rust but how durable are they. I was going to buy the Ocean Master Titanium Knife and the shop owner told me to reconsider so here I am asking for everyones opinion. He said that each time I dive the knife gets weaker...
Well I bought my mask and snorkel. I got the Ocean Master Z2 and I love it. I haven't dived with it yet but I have used it in the pool. It gits great and is easy to clear. I also bought the OM Dry snorkel and it works better than I ever thought it would. I want to thank you all for your info and...
I am in the US Air Force currently stationed on Terceira Island in the Azores. I have just recently decided to dive and will start buying equipment anyday now. I have talked to a lot of people and they said that they absolutely love it here. There is a site you can go to to find out about it and...
I sure wouldn't spend 200 dollars for them. I did find them at www.diveshopper.com for 92 dollars. After I have read from everyone I will probably be buying them next week when I head to Florida.
Thanks everyone for all the good info.

That is a good point about the snorkel. I probably would have never thought about it. I plan to buy the Ocean Master Dry Snorkel. I have heard it is pretty good and isn't too expensive.....
Thanks everyone for the info.

I am new to this and will be getting certified in about a month or so. Is there really a big difference on getting a mask with high or low volume? If the masks fits well enough, it shouldn't leak that much right. Some one told me that it would be harder to clear a mask with high volume, is this...
I am looking into buying the HUB Avantgarde for as my first BC and would like to know some better info about it than what I have read. I have compared prices and it will save me a lot of money by doing so. So please tell me about the pros and cons so I can make my decision.
I am new to this and will be getting my first certification in a month of two. I was looking into buying the Mares Volo fin and was hoping someone could tell me how they perform..
