How about a meat cleaver, you could chop someone's hand off with one of those I'm sure it would work on a lobster, or failing that use an axe in the garden! Some people apparently pierce the lobster's head to kill it before boiling,i.e using the point on a lobster hook! Not sure if this works...

How are you managing to swallow seawater, I'm a relatively new diver myself but cannot think of a single occasion where I have ever swallowed water whilst diving! Are you forgetting to purge the valve or blow into it if you have to take it out of your mouth?

yep I sometimes find it painful equalising especially if I have to use some force (which you are not supposed to do)a painful piercing sensation. I usually find this is caused by frequently changing depths in shallow shore dives whilst exploring rock faces! Hope you sought the problem out !
