Why are you unable to put it on a sling? Those work very well, don't involve your main tank, and can be dumped in an emergency.

...and easier to doff/don. Just yank it on, yank it off; no farting about with the strap. It's a modification I make wherever I can. You've got to inspect the bungee periodically though, for obvious maintenance reasons.

Well, depending on how much time you spent at 40 feet, and the exact meaning of 'multiple', I'd say the lightheadedness wasn't related to diving, offhand. <g>

I too had a Pioneer but punctured it somehow then went to an Eclipse. However, I found I also had to add a couple of pounds of lead, because the Eclipse doesn't seem to dump nearly as fast or as completely as the Pioneer. (Not surprisingly, I suppose.)
