Is the lot gated after 8pm - or just no parking? If you have access to the circle, you could drop gear and park at the shops - then pick up after the dive. I've done that when the lot was full. Mark

The shakedown run went well for the Maka Oi Oi. Anybody want to go Saturday? I need a dive buddy and someone to watch the boat while we're diving. Prefer experienced boat handlers. Link to YouTube video from last weekend PM if interested.

Nicolle, I've dove both extensively, and I'd go for the big island. You can shore dive - do "Place of Refuge" for sure. Another good one is off the beach just south of Honokohau harbor. These are both wonderful semi-bowls full of the usual suspects - and they slowly drop down to 100' or so to...

I might be taking the boat out then. Kris and I go to some awesone places that are not frequented by the commercial operators. Other SB folks are welcome to join us - space available.

There's not a commercial flight that stays below 8000 feet - turboprops are the lowest. Jets go higher. Follow the flight rules. M
