Give the Aeris Accels a chance if you can. Haven't thoroughly put mine through the paces but they did ok for the 6 dives I did last week in the Palm Beach area (both shore & drift dives)
Hey All,
I have a few HOG D1 Cold 1st stages that I have never used. I was planning on making a doubles set out of it but that never materialized. These are less than a year old and have never even had a hose screwed onto them. They've never been screwed onto a tank or pressurized.
Asking...
No, 100 rep sets are not typical, but where I lift we do 5x20 on squat quite frequently. Does wonders for quad mass. That has absolutely nothing to do with scuba fitness though. Please carry on :D
Still looking guys. Having terrible luck finding tanks that everyone says should be falling from the sky!!! I will be in West Palm Beach the second week of May diving with Scuba Works & I live in Maryland. Any leads are appreciated. Thanks all!
No "nice" places that I know of unless you like fresh water quarry diving. Even the nicer fresh water sites are in Pennsylvania & Virginia. There is always Ocean City, but this summer will be my first experience diving out of OC so I can't comment.
That is a very cool find especially in the wide open ocean. It had to be pretty new. I've had a few salt tanks & it was always cool when the shrimps & crabs would molt. The exoskeleton wouldn't stay around long though. Usually someone ate it
I am currently looking for some old steel 72s. I posted on cavediver.net but wanted to post in the general Florida Diving forum. I will be in the Jupiter/West Palm Beach area the second week of May so if you are close I can come pick the tanks up so we don't have to arrange shipping. Feel free...
That's too bad MaxBottomtime ... you missed the best part ... the idiot "riding" the tiger shark at the end. (Was watching on my phone .. looked like a tiger on my small screen)
:Looking good AGAIN. Your last tank inspired me to want to do a restore myself ... I have been on the hunt for some old steel 72s ever since. Of course I cant find any since I'm searching for them. Found a guy selling 10 of them over on VDH but I'm having issues registering over there for some...
Very nice! That's very close to what I had planned. The finish looks great. The only difference is that I would be using a isolator manifold and two single hose regulators.
Hey guys,
I am looking for some LP72s & figured this was the best place to ask here. The plan is to completely restore 2 or more tanks to make a nice set of doubles for local recreational diving. What I'm looking for ...
MUST HAVE
-3/4" neck
-be in good enough shape to pass VIP & hydro...
Hey Howard,
I will be in West Palm the second week of May. I'd be interested in taking you up on this offer if there is somewhere simple we could meet up & dive together. I will need to borrow a doubles wing though. PM me if we can make something work. Thanks!
