Hi
Its a question of what you'd like to earn and what lifestyle you want. India has many possibilities for growth as a dive professional. Been in it myself for a while. Happy to have a phone chat about it if you are interested. the Dive industry like many others is very much who you've met and...
Your right India is not yet an international dive destination, However, we have over a 100 Dive centers here and the market is growing every day with new centers and locations for diving opening. We have shallow reef diving as well as some deep wall dives and there are a variety of wrecks being...
It seems there is no fishing around India ;-) come do a days diving and you'll see the boats they are hundreds of them just all small trawlers not the mega boats but they do as much damage
HI Guys
I have just got a microscope :-) and have been playing with it since a few days. I would love some tips and tricks for seeing the wonders of the sea. I have some questions and wonder if anyone knows the answers
- To see plankton and zooplankton where should I take my sample's? taking a...
Sure no worries I understand , however if you change your mind there are direct flights to Pondicherry :) and we can always find a way ;-) Happy diving and enjoy the online course's
There are some great sites like the wall that fall within the limit, However not everyone has the right to go out by boat so best check before with the Dive center. another option is to go to neil Island they have some great sites.
That is normally the case 50% underwater and have a 100% on the boat, however sometimes the plan(or the course) requires 2 deco tanks, We do mainly drift dives so no deco station.
Thanks for the replies :-) however I realize maybe my question was not asked clearly.
- We all have learned how to plan Tec dives, I hope as we are in the tec forum, so we should all know how much gas we need for the dive and what amount extra is needed.
- Almost all boat operators take...
Hi Guys
I have been reading the tread Current best practice for deco gas: 75% vs 100% and was wondering who takes an additional 100% O2 for emergency(kept on the boat) and who thinks that the one we carry is enough? does the amount of Tec divers on the boat affect this decision?
I'm a big fan of 50% or 60% for a few reasons ( I do not do trimix and most dives using deco gas are 30-50MT)
- I do not have a booster so I can get 200 bar fills with 50-60% ( more gas always better)
- On long deep dives I can start off gasing deeper and I use more of my deco gas.
- I can top...
I have worked with many Dive centers and also have started my own. and I can assure you that this is not the case in many dive centers in India. there are some very professional operations here. let me know if you ever need any recommendations of a dive shop in India :-) I know them all :-)
HI Yes its an old thread and its been mostly resolved.
I know alot of the people involved in the incident and investigation and below is my take on what happened or was the story going around.
The dive site gets deeper gradually and one can walk in a good 50Mt before your chin deep, Then at...
