Reg for a newbie: Aqua Lung Mikron, Scubapro MK21, Atomic Aquatics B2, Apeks Flight or smth else?

I do have a feeling it might be the latter case, however I don’t have them back yet. My husband spoke to the dive shop and wasn’t super clear on the details. It’s a reputable shop we’ve dealt with a lot and I will be double checking everything with the owners once I get my head around it. It is...

Reg for a newbie: Aqua Lung Mikron, Scubapro MK21, Atomic Aquatics B2, Apeks Flight or smth else?

Sent both of ours for service only to be told that they are both beyond repair. They are only a couple of years old and have been well looked after. I liked them well enough but expected better longevity.

Reg for a newbie: Aqua Lung Mikron, Scubapro MK21, Atomic Aquatics B2, Apeks Flight or smth else?

We made the mistake of buying Apeks Flights. Now I’m here trying to work out what to replace them with.... sounds like I need to get on the Scubapro website and have a look around. If anyone has recommendations I’m chasing travel friendly, light second stage, suitable for both air integration...

    Queensland after GBR?

Yongala Dive - second that! Definitely include this on your itinerary. I'm fairly sure they run a lodge there you can stay at too.

Where to dive north coast NSW and south Queensland?

We went out recently with Byron Bay Dive, enjoyed it thoroughly. They are mainly geared to tourist divers though, didn't really have an area set aside for clients who brought their own kit for a couple of days diving. The 50 minute limit on dives didn't worry us - water temp of 20*C meant that...

    Diving New Zealand

Resurrecting an old thread to see if anyone has updated info. We are contemplating are trip across the ditch in November and just starting some research. Can diving affect eczema?

The immunologist that first prescribed it for me summarised it as the least toxic of all the immunomodulators, which seems to work fairly selectively on the over active facets of the immune system. As long as your liver can metabolise the drug effectively it is relatively safe at the dosages...

    Can diving affect eczema?

Steroids are good, but unfortunately a short term solution. I gave up on Dermatologists and went to an immunologist. I'm on my third course of imuran - I take it for 12-18 months and everything comes good for 4 or 5 years, magic stuff.

    Can diving affect eczema?

I have always suffered severe atopic eczema, and the ocean has always been one of my #1 treatments. Sun exposure is also good for me, I have even had a dermatologist tell me to 'go and get a tan' - not advocating sunburn but UV light therapy is also a recognised treatment for eczema, and much...

    Moving to Australia

Hi Mike Australia is awesome but expensive for, well everything really! Where are you moving from? Where in Oz are you coming too? Australia has such a diverse climate that gear would be dependant on where you would predominantly be diving. Be aware that prices for gear in Australia may be...
