We always rent a car there. The roads are great and everything is easy access. We stay at Mayan Palace too. There are buses, but we just find the car too easy! :)

My DH and I both had PRK. After his great success and reading about the differences... I was really hoping for PRK... then found out I wasn't eligible for Lasik... YAY!!! It took awhile... yes, I was a bit freaked about at various times after surgery, but I have 15/20... or is that 20/15...

Can you share more about los arcos... dove there once... heading to PV this weekend and trying to decide on dive sites. What fun things did you see... how was water temp and visibility?

I highly recommend Dennis at Diablo divers.... he does a great job, will work with your schedule and cenotes are his specialty.

Well, I'm not that friend... but there is a very nice diamond earring down by Akumal in the Riviera Maya. I'd had them in my ears for 10 years... through all kinds of things... never even thought about it. But I think about it now!!! sigh...lesson learned.

So I just got another.... "Join us Today" from Padi. Why would I want to do this??? Any thoughts out there? (This doesn't need to turn into a PADI bash, they're not my fav either... just asking for some opinions).

ya, he will rent one... but they usually hand it to you on the boat just before going in the water... doesn't give you alot of time to stow gear... and you don't know what they will have available for pockets or d rings... usually not much.

He has a wetsuit... so that might be just the thing... does it glue on... does it really stick???? so what is best best... a glue on one or a thigh strap one???

We are headed to Mexico for some more diving. Question is this... DH does not have a BC yet, he chose other options (computers etc.) over the BC since he is easy to fit. (Of course he wants one... but you know... gear is a bit at a time!). So my question... without having a BC to set up with...

actually they do have spools with up to 165 (see the hot deals thread).... so, I'm guessing I should go with the 100 (especially since I'll take some off to make it not so tight on the spool... it'll be like 85 or so)... and thanks for the links...I'm off to check them out. :)
