    Do strobes harm marine life?

it's a coconut?! Now I REALLY have the willies....everytime I go diving, I am going to wonder if I turn around really quick, will that evil coconut be staring at me with those eyes so full of darkness and impending doom.... Hey, you must have a blast with students being exposing them from a...

    Do strobes harm marine life?

Archman, There is just something about that avatar pumpkin and the way it smiles...just really gives me the creeps. I can't quite place it, it is a very eery, forboding smile....there is just something really wrong about it I can't quite make out..... I just get a really bad feeling...

Am I the only fat diver on earth?

Calling somone who exercises, eats right and has an athletic, toned attractive body "skinny" is rather offensive. Most of the people with attractive bodies here in SoCal are NOT as the result of surgical enhancement, it is the result of a combination of a healthy, active lifestyle incuding...

Views on playing with or harrasing marine life

It is not "name calling", it is a proper descriptive. Perhaps so correct it causes consternation to those whom fits its definition.

Am I the only fat diver on earth?

There are lots of people who are very obese who dive, some morbidly so..... The emotion you elude to of humiliation is something humans have to motivate us to stop inappropriate and/or behavior including unhealthy eating lifestyles. I personally get a kick out of people who engage in...

Tom1R, in debate class we called what you just did a straw argument....it was always seen by all as the intellectual equivalent of throwing in the towel. Rather then misdefining my argument, why not just answer it, unless of course you actually eventually get my point, and that is many of...

A few pieces of information about the fatality at Farnsworth

Everytime I hear about these things I am frustrated and saddened, and my reaction is I just wish it was me who was the buddy and think of if whether I could have saved someone......only 26 years old.....and the other gentleman's daughter....so sad......

Smay28, how were their rigs were out of control? But directing intense beams of artificial light by you into the eyes of frightened sea creatures is ok? Straw argument. Why do you employ mercenary animal death squads to kill animals so you can tear their muscle and sinew and crush it...

    No longer about the features

Living in any big city is a carcinogen, drinking colas destroys your teeth enamel, going outdoors causes skin cancer, kissing leads to oral herpes, having heterosexual sex means you run HIV risk 3 time greater then being struck by lightning, you are far more likely to be killed in a car accident...

    No longer about the features

One would probably be far better served by wearing a helmet when they drive their car to lessen the far greater chance of receiving a head injury in a car crash then worrying about battery offgassing in one's rebreather....

    absorbant taste

It tastes like cement a little, but that is why I add some tabasco sauce and some lime juice to it.....it is still a little crunchy but unless you have a belneder and some ice cream to make a thick magnesia style shake, it has to do.

    MK-15 series vs. Inspiration

You know, something struck me as odd when I first saw this photo, and it is starting to make me think more........notice the stainless steel clip at the 6 o' clock position at the back center of the top of the scrubber......what would happen if it got hung up on something and popped up?

    Busted by the DFG

Give me a break, he is an employee of a company, he gets paid to work...duty is something a person in the military performs, not some low-life arrogant schmuck who thinks the Constitution doesn't apply to him. I do agree with the ultimate law, and that law is the United States Constitution...

APV Evolution! is it worth it?

I think the Evolution is a great rebreather, packed with features, and for most divers, the right size. The only advantage I see for my Inspiration is when doing extended range diving.....then there is no comparison. But for local boat trips, the ease and convenience of the Evolution is...

New Inspiration scrubber.HUD & integrated controller

Considering the Hammerhead is almost half that price, I highly doubt if anyone in the U.S is going to be buying that.... I paid about $500 more for my entire Inspiration....
