Hi Jay,
Glad to hear you are coming to Utila - I am a dog owner on the island - although I didn't bring it here, the care he gets from the vets here (who offer a free service - donations only by the way) is wonderful. The talk of poisoning is true but you just need to be careful and use...
Awesome............
I'm booked, with a great crew of professional diving friends, to dive in December, 2 of us on CCR as well, there are 4 spots left if anyone want's to join, give me a PM?
Hi Kurt,
I've trained quite a few Instructors who have gone to work on soem prestigious live aboards, in fact one couple are now running the recreational and technical diving off the MV Hurrican based in the Red Sea. You'll need to have some specialty training in equipment repair and...
Dear Simon
I would like to see a copy of your licence as i have contacted the Honduran goverment and they have told me that no licences or permits have being issued for the study of the whale sharks in the area.
As we all know WSORC is not what it portrays to be it is just another dive...
Mango Inn and Utila Dive Centre are the right places to try. They are fun, organised, professioanl, safe and have a great atmosphere. PM me if you would like more info on either place.
Both the resorts mentioned above are very nice and both are out of town. If you would like to sample a bit of the local culture and people you should check out Mango Inn Resort and the Utila DIve Centre. www.mango-inn.com has info on this.
Check out Utila for easy conditions, great fun (possible whalesharks) and very affordable diving. PM me for more info or check out www.utiladivecentre.com or www.mango-inn.com
I did my IDC at Utila Dive Centre. That was years ago and I am still working as an instructor and enjoying it. I thnk that was in a big part due to the training I received at UDC. If you want more info on the course you can PM me.
Have fun
Hi Jaymi,

Hi Joni,
If you are looking for a dive op that can ofer you the most flexibility it would be best to go with a store like UDC/Mango Inn. If you want to talk about packages and customizing options you can PM me direct.
Have fun.
Hey Fishystu,
welcome to the board. Thanks for your trip list - sounds like a good one. Couldn't agree more about the cenotes and Utila. Is the blue hole really that rubbish???
Have fun.
Being able to dive without proper proof should never happen. Hey, I know poeple with Instructor caps who were given them by friends - doesn't mean they're instructors. Incidentally most operators will (and should) be asking you for log book and cert cards. Having s chat with poeple about...
Cudabait is right to say that Utila is the best place to see these wonderful creatures but February is not the best month. In the last 3 years most sightings have been from March and April and often into early May. This year April was an amazing month for sightings. If you are going to...
A hole has been put in the wall of Utila's bank. Not just to let the infamous robbers back in, apparently it is for an ATM. So as soon as this ATM is here, crippled, elderly, pregnant people are no problem!! Woohoo!!
Hi Kabluton,
Like Dave says Utila is certainly a great choice for doing your IDC. I did mine with Utila Dive Centre and as a result am now having a wonderful life teaching diving in the caribbean. If you want the best IDC go to UDC. Andy is an extremely experienced Course Director and...
Yes they do.
Utila Dive Centre offers an excellent course with a great atmosphere. They even won an award from PADI for this reason last year at DEMA. PM me if you want more info on UDC.
