    Finally dove my Oxycheq setup

The wing is a single bladder design. The three year warranty applies to workmanship and materials. The serial number on the label will indicate the age of the wing in the event of a warranty issue. Thanks again, Chris

    Cap't Dan

That is right on track. 2.5 knots is approximately 2.88 mph or 4.23 feet per second. Now that is kickin! I have been on too many boats where the DM/Mate would come up from jumping a wreck and give an estimated current of 2 knots and divers on the boat act like that is a run of the mill...

Oxycheq Wing Poll: what size do you own and why?

As posted previously, I am really impressed with the wings and had no reservations selling my OMS 55# and my ScubaPro Travel wing 27# on ebay a week after I got my new OxyCheq wings. Chris

    Formula1 any fans?

I see Kimi taking top driver spot and David fighting with Villeneuve for a job in just a few years. Barrichello has to be the most unlucky ALIVE driver I have ever seen. I just love to watch the little guy get emotional whenever he does hit the podium. I used to live only a few hundred...

    Formula1 any fans?

I thought when we lost a Mika for a Kimi we were going to have some serious issues... But, Raikkonen is only 2 points behind the shoe maker...so we will see what happens in a couple of weeks at Monza. Long live Coulthard! Chris

    Losing Nemo...

I believe that Disney is single-handedly responsible for a number of unwanted pets, natural habitat depletion, and complete eradication of some creatures. Examples: Immediately after the promotion of 1001 Dalmations, local pet shops sold an incredible number of poor dogs to families that...

    Finally dove my Oxycheq setup

but I have watched a number of people make insinuations about products they have not used, much less seen. I have used the OxyCheq wings and do have a financial interest in them, because I sell them as a legal, registered business owner. What I don't understand is the need for some to make...

    Thieves are POS scumbags

Surprising someone who is attempting to burglarize a residence may result in the perpetrator being apprehended by the home owner who is trained in firearm ownership and use. Especially in Texas. Sorry your stuff was taken. c_c

    Finally dove my Oxycheq setup

I made the 14 hour drive from Columbus, OH to Panama City Beach, FL this past weekend to teach a PSI Visual Cylinder Inspector Course. During the weekend, I was able to sneak in a couple really good dives in the Gulf. This was the first time I had a chance to dive my OxyCheq 45# Single...

Luxfer Tank Is This A Bad One

this cylinder is one of the ones that Luxfer is accepting in trade for a $50 voucher. You pay the shipping to Luxfer and they send you the voucher to use at an authorized Luxfer dealer for a new cylinder. Good luck, C_C

    Valve Stuck On Al80 Tank

"no one should be using a wrench to tighten down a straight thread (o-ring sealed) valve" As Pescador states, manufacturers have torque specs for valves in scuba cylinders. As far as I know...all current (new) valves use o-rings. Follow the specs, use a torque wrench to install. Use at...

    Plastic coated steel 72's

PSI--Professional Scuba Inspectors recommends removing from service vinyl coated cylinders that are NOT galvanized. Some cylinders that are galvanized may have GALV stamped somewhere on the crown. Otherwise, removal of the vinyl and then a cold cure coating could be applied. As long as...

    I have 2 AL80s....can I double em?

easier on the back and plenty of gas for the dives I do. One consideration is if the cylinders are both from the same manufacturer. One Catalina and one Luxfer may be difficult to get set up with bands and manifold. Having said that...no two cylinders are the same as far as dimensions...

    Aluminum S80 3300psi - which alloy?

6061 t-6 alloy. Have them hydrostatically retested, get a trained visual cylinder inspector to do a complete inspection, heck...I would even do a eddy current test. Although Catalina cylinders have not been known to fall into the same catagory of failure as the Luxfer 6351 Alloy...
