The realities of adult diapers with dry suits?

Nothing perverted about bodily functions. Half the men I spoke with about valve vs. no valve stated that the pee-valve either leaked or the condom came unattached or fell off and none of these sounded like much fun. I opted for no valve and have routinely wore a depends, the best days I don't...

    Dry suit undergarments

I found a used DUI 200gram polar tek on e-bay, this serves me fine 45 degrees and warmer. I just recently purchased 4th Element Arctic Wear, this has had me sweating in my tri-lam at 45-50 degree water. Under both of these configurations I wear under armour and hot chilis, the thin ones. Wool...

    help thaw my frozen fingers

From what I've been told, mid to high thirties is the norm; forties are considered a heat wave. Please don't ask why I would want to dive in those temps, I'm not sure I have figured it out yet.

    help thaw my frozen fingers

I want to thank all who have responded thus far and those who may be yet. This kind of sharing and support is one of the things that makes this site and our sport one of the best !! No doubt I'll be trying out some of these suggestions soon and I'm sure my fingers are going to be a lot happier...

    help thaw my frozen fingers

In an effort to extend my diving time, I recently purchased a set of 4th Element Arctic Wear undergarments to go under my DC drysuit. I've been told that a pair of dry gloves will greatly enhance my comfort this winter. (North Atlantic diving) I'd appreciate any and all suggestions on how...

    Diving Concepts Dry Suit?

Love my Z Flex, all Cordura off the rack-they shortened the legs 2 inches, swapped the boot size and intalled a pocket on the thigh. If you are going to dive in COLD water I would strongly recomend a warm collar option. All said and done this is a high quality suit for short money.

    Galapagos 2008

Members from our club, U.D.C.M., had a trip to the Galapagos for July 2008 booked and recently cancelled by the gov't.. I don't know the particulars but it involved the "fishing industry" vs. tour operators. I tend to agree with Baitballer; with all the diving spots to explore, why gamble hard...

    Chester Poling Report

Went out with the Daybreaker today and dove on the Poling, first let me say what a lot of you already know; Capt. Fran and his son Matt run a first class operation and are all around good guys. The dive was very good with very little current (top or bottom) and great vis' (around 25-30') we...

    Dive Flag Law Again!!

Hey Grumpy, Good idea and very valid reasoning. I'm heading out to the garage directly where I know I have some fiberglass dowel, drill and key rings. Should be a pretty easy fabrication, hopefully it won't be too top heavy but we shall see!!!!!

    Dive Flag Law Again!!

Thanks for sharing this with us Al, may just save us a few hassles and dollars. Did you happen to get the phone # to call for the evaluation and hopefull waiver? I can only guess these actions are a direct response from pressure applied on the Harbour Master from powers above not because he's...

    Block Island info

hopefully someone here has some suggestions on hooking up with a dive boat or an interesting shore dive location on Block Island. I am leaving for there on 8/12 and will be there for 1 week. Two years ago, while on the island, I was limited to shore diving down past the trash transfer station...

Emergency at Old Garden Beach Today?

I was at Old Garden Beach today, did 2 dives to about 35' that lasted about 50-55 minutes each. Nice assortment of finned creatures about and some bugs for the taking as well. Vis was in the 12-15' range and temps averaged about 50 degrees. The turnout of divers was impressive indeed, must...

    drysuit alterations

Thank You all for your friendly input, it sure puts me on the right track. Easy to find someone to sell one, not so easy to find competant people to service drysuits.

    drysuit alterations

Can anyone recomend a local place for drysuit alterations? I bought my Zeagle on line and it doesn't fit too well, it could keep me and another 25% of me dry. I am really afraid that some of the comedians I dive with are going to show up with a tank of helium and see if they can get me...
