Curious. I have noticed a lot of port closures so far this fall. Have there been more than "usual" this year? Kind of seems like it.

what is the coral bleaching like lately? I know water temps have been high for several years now. Someone on a FB page was freaking out Cedral and bricks were "nearly completely bleached out" ... true or does this guy not really know what bleaching is?

"best" dive op is subjective. what's best for some isn't necessarily best for others.

that's exactly why we don't do it. I've run the numbers many times and by the time you add up transfers (2) 7 ferry rides (2) to the "cheaper" airfare, you can fly right onto the island for just a little more and save basically 2 days of your vacation.

yes. we stayed at La Ceiba for several years, before the El Cid takeover and the El Cid salesman telling us if we didn't buy into their timeshare, we quote, "need to find another place to stay" ... so we did and have been very happy where we've been for over a dozen years.

I'm not necessarily looking. Haven't been on here much and curious as to what places are currently popular for recommendations to give.

I just saw a post pop up on FB from Blue Bubble Divers. Did someone "recently" open a new shop under that logo? I thought they closed years ago. they were the first dive we we ever dove with on Coz, back in the 90's. Raul Plates of Bottom Time Divers was our DM back then.
