How to clean a mold disaster?

Thanks everyone...you gave me the courage to go at it in my bathtub w/ a mild bleach and liquid detergent solution (about 2 cups for an entire tub of warm water)...after 3 rounds of bleach soaks followed by rinsing things are looking much brighter (and I have yet to fade/discolor anything which...

How to clean a mold disaster?

After diving overseas late last year I packed all my gear in a storm case for travel and safe keeping. Unfortunatley, something must have retained water because I now have jungle mold growing on everything from my fins, through my BC, and up through the Regs. I really don't want to soak my...

    I will volunteer

Check out www.blueventures.org I almost joined up w/ this group but I couldn't get the time off from work. You have to be able to commit to at least 6 weeks. Sounds like a phenomenal experience.

The Best Dive Master Course Site in the World!

Indonesia would be great and relatively cheap. Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi is a diver's paradise. However, I was told that ex-pats start to go a little soft in the head after 6 months. Good Luck!

Does anyone visit this resort in Manado?

I dove Bunaken Island (the Dive Meca of Manado) in October 2003....it was gorgeous. If you're not afraid of roughing it a bit (no a/c, mosquitoe net, chick-chacks [small lizards] running about everywhere) I could recommend a place that is 100 percent focused to diving and has very good...

    Woman Traveling Alone

So far the feedback is awesome...keep it coming (much appreciated Chantana). Don't worry, I have no intentions of jumping in over my head w/out any planning or a lot of thought. I'm actually a very detail oriented person, an engineer in fact. I've been saving for the past 5 years so there is...

    Woman Traveling Alone

Reading through all these posts I couldn't help but get really excited. I dove by myself last fall in Indonesia and didn't have any problems whatsoever....but why am I excited? Well, I just can't get over the sense of peace I achieved on that trip and now I'm thinking of throwing in the...

What’s the coolest non-diving thing you’ve done with your scuba gear?

I've considered wearing my shorty while working out on an elliptical trainer at home . . . even got so far as pulling it on . . . however, I was immediately hot, sweaty, and fearfull of dehydration . . . better to suck in a beer gut than kill oneself dropping a pound of water weight.

    My first Dive Machine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

There is a one day gulf rig trip on Saturday leaving out of Freeport...I think that includes 3 dives. I'ld like to do this trip but if I can't find anyone to go I'll probably grab my cash poor buddy and head to the Blue Lagoon in Huntsville.

    My first Dive Machine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

When it comes to a boat like that AND scuba diving . . . . we could be friends real fast (I'm Soooo BAD!). Seriously though, I'm looking to dive this weekend . . . if you're up for something let me know, if that means taking your boat or whatever, I'm cool w/ the Dutch method. I need to secure...

Anyone going to Twin lakes this w-end?

How do the Twin Lakes compare to the Blue Lagoon as far as water quality, temperature, ect (that's pretty much my experience w/ Houston area diving)....I've been dying to get back into the water for months and if I can find something this weekend that would be great, especially if anyone knows...
