gfisher and I dove west hill lake last summer, it's a great dive.
I wouldnt get excited about the depth though; not much to see at 60'.
it's also a spring fed lake, so the bottom is COLD.
actually here's my dive long entry:
just got back from a nice lake dive up in the...
i dont think they're supposed to save the lobsters that were caught in it initially; but rather prevent the trap from becoming a permanent death trap for lobster (or anything else) for the next 100 years.
you forgot to mention the wanton threat of unadulterated physical violence against the perpetrator. (i didnt even know mr craft sold cans of rodney harrison)
so from what i gather from a couple posters here is that its ok to kiss someone's ***** over a lobster, but not when they vandalize...
last year i heard about all kinds of things in candlewood (everything you mentioned plus local native american artifacts) and was very excited to go dive it!
my hopes were shattered quickly though; there's a horrible algae problem in the lake that destroys the visiblility. it was literally...
one of my 1st jobs as a teenager was working in my friend's father's fish market.
i was loading the tank with a fresh shipment of bugs when i pulled out a giant 3+ lbs lobster without any bands on it. i held the critter in my left hand while looking for the bander; thats when i felt his...

Catching a jerks expression on tape after returning home from work to find his house painted like a dive flag: priceless...
you still havent seemed to pick up on my dry sense of humor, have you?
lol seriously "dude"; what would you do all day if you didnt have me to lecture?
police reports are for people that get mad; dive knives are for people that get even.
if they like to play games, maybe they'll like the "where's my traps?" game.
the best part? they have to pay a diver to get their traps back.
2 wrongs dont make a right; but it sure as hell makes you...
if you're trying to get divers excited about wreck diving to drum up some business, you're doing a damn good job of it.
when my dive buddy and i can plan a weekend out, you can bet we'll be giving you a call.
thanks for the report!
you still seem confused; so maybe this explanation will help.
if there was no scienctific research involved, the contest would be catch and release and no sharks would be killed.
because they're being studied by marine biologists; they have to be killed. because they're being killed...
or maybe some of us just like fishing.
it's not always about being macho or masking insecurities about one's manhood; like you keep alluding to. there's actually a science and art involved and it can be very stimulating to people that enjoy the outdoors and have a strong sense of adventure...
;-) the big misconception here is that the sharks are being killed for sport.
fishing derby's are catch and release, unless of course the fish is edible. the only reason they are being killed is for scientific research by marine biologists.
close; but wrong.
my point was the same people that complain about a few dead sharks are probably running around with leather shoes, jackets and wallets and use animal by-products on an everyday basis.
thanks for the anthropology lesson though... that bit about our ancestors clothing...
