Ikelite housing fpr Canon EOS 100D Rebel SL1

it certainly looks interesting with such a compact size and good price. Limiting to 3 lenses (18-55, 10-17 and 60 if you get the flat port) may be a bit limiting long term, so hopefully at some point they will add some new ports. Hopefully someone will get one soon and write a review.

    Anilao - accomodation Q

Planning a few days in Anilao next year - I was reading the forum and looks like commonly suggested hotels are Arthurs Place, Planet Dive or Aquaventure. Found websites for Planet & Aqua - but arthurs-place.com seems to be dead...do they still exist? and should any other accommodations be...

I'm a hoover and I'm always the first to run out of air

there are quite a few threads with similar questgions and lots of advice. in general as a newer diver, work on getting your weighting and bouyancy correct - if you're sucking down you air your working too hard. As someone whose quite big you may always use a bit more than smaller people, but...

    Bonaire Fun or Tropicana apartments

both owned by the same people (who also now own the Dive Hut). I stayed at Tropicana back in July. Basic but good enough - they arranged a package with accomodation, truck and also air/nitrox with WannaDive for me at very short notice. At the time they didn't take credit card (not sure if...

    Canon S95 Underwater tips

I would definately take the camera on the shark dive but don't take the external flash (force the internal flash if the sharks are getting close or turn it off if the water gets murkey) - you have to keep it very close to your body (no waiving it around or you'll be sorry !). Try getting some...

Drift diving from shore in Bonaire

I'd never give DBA any money - the owner is an d**k - but their staff are nice, and as pointed out - he owns the dock not Sand Dollar or Den Lamen. He even gets pissy with people if they use the "beach" entry next to the dock as he believe he owns Bari reef. Smile, ignore him, and use a...

Bonaire shore diving made easy vs bonaire snorkeling guide

not really answering your question (as I dive I have the BSDME book and am unfamiliar with the other one) I found it useful for the first few times I went (now I know the area quite well so don't reference it so much)...but worth getting one or the other to give you some hints of the various...

    Is tripadvisor reliable

i was chatting to someone on a boat one day - he worked in PR and marketing - his job was to promote his clients via social media (FB, yelp, TA, google etc.) - anything really that would increase their positive ranking / results. As part of the job he had to select other related (and...

The Boynton Dive Chronicles (new and improved)

we did one wreck in the morning (the bud ?) and then 3 drifts. The nudi was on a reefy drifty dive. Saw several lions as well, though didn't have a pointy stick with me so just took pics of them. I'll have to make another visit over to Boynton before too long - will give you a shout when i do.

    Free Ticket-Florida Dive Show

The high tide at BHB is at a crappy time that weekend. Sat: 6.48am & 6:52pm Sun: 7:37am & 7:39pm I believe the park is open sunrise to sundown, so unless there is a shop organizing a night dive, it may be tricky

    TSA got you down?

@noreastdiver - nope - look for the report of the guy who stripped to his undies as he didn't want to be irradiated or have a 2nd molestation by the TSA in a week - the TSA agent wanted him to put his clothes back on so he could be patted down ! It's all theater and corruption (look who is...

    Help with Canon S90 Settings

I usually opt for Tv - certainly for things that are moving (and 1/60 is a little slow for that). Try it with 1/100 or faster and see if it helps (you can take multiple pics of the same or similar subjects with different shutter speeds and look on the computer after to see what effect the...

    s90 macro

you can always switch to Tv and go for a speed at which you can freeze the shot and hit the little macro button to make sure the close focus is on. As the guys states above 1/125, 1/100 and possibly 1/80 are probably the slowest speeds you want to use (if you are really lucky you may get by...
