Thanks guys. My old computer showed the receiver battery level on the main screen. Hold down a button and it would show the transmitter battery level. Was hoping the G2 had something similar.
I have gone through the manual and SB for a couple days now and cannot find anything. How can I check the transmitter battery level without taking the transmitter apart. I am leaving for Cancun in a few days and want to make sure everything checks out. Thanks.

I have a trip planned to Cancun first week of June 2018. Migration is from May-Sept. Have not yet booked the excursion. So this thread is perfect timing. Thanks.
Hey Jim. She's actually ok with it. I'M the cheap bastard.:thumb:
Thanks everyone for their input. I guess bottom line...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Thanks guys. I'm thinking more in terms of dive computers. Technology changes, algorithms change...when is it time. I'm currently using a 10 yr old Oceanic VT Pro. I cannot get any support from Oceanic nor do they upgrade firmware. But it works.
Just curious how often people upgrade dive computers. Do you keep them through their warranty period...until firmware/support is no longer available. I've been using the same computer for quite a while. It works. It does what I want it to do. But for me, it's probably time. Just curious...

Thanks. I sent an email to the resort requesting more information. Still waiting to hear back. We were just in St. Maarten, and a lot of the dive shops have subcontracted satellite shops at the resorts where they run/rent their beach toys (snorkels, rafts, etc). When I dove there, because of...
Have a trip planned to the DR in mid-Dec. Staying at the Meliá Caribe Tropical (All Inclusive) in Playa de Bávaro, Punta Cana. I am a DM. My buddy is an AOW diver. We both have quite a few dives under our belt, but would still prefer "relaxing" dives. A few questions:
1. Looking for a...
Lite version has a 5 dive limit (I think that's what it was). For what we pay for scuba gear, $25 was a drop in the bucket. I took the gamble and it paid off.
FINALLY, I got around to using this program. It is pretty slick. Personally, I think it is more comprehensive than the original Oceanlog software. Dan, thanks again for the info. $25 sure beats buying a new dive computer.
Thanks Dan. I am out of town right now but it looks like MacDive2 will work.
i did contact Oceanic and they mentioned Divelog. When I asked about VT Pro compatibility, that was when they mentioned that they no longer support the VT Pro and Divelog will not work.
I have an older VT Pro and the Oceanlog software says it will only run on a PC. I recently purchased an iMac. Is there any comparable software that will work in a Mac environment.
Scotty...I know you are pretty new to diving. But did you realize you need OW, AOW, Rescue, EFR and 40 logged dives before you can begin the PADI DM program? And you need 60 dives by the end of the course to get the certification. Good luck.
I have been using the UK Light Cannon HID for a while and the switch crapped out on me. Been looking at replacing it with the Sola 800. The newer Light Cannon eLED is rated at 825 lumens and the Sola on spot is rated at 500 (800 flood). For night dives, I dive fairly low vis conditions and...
